Z. H. Sikder University of Science and Technology — a coeducational privately owned university — is dedicated to advancing knowledge and educating students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century.
The Z. H. Sikder University of Science and Technology — a privately owned, co-educational university — is dedicated to advancing knowledge and educating students in science, technology and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. The University has been established in 2012 and planned to be organized in four Faculties – Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Business Studies and Engineering & Technology. This University is situated at Madhupur Village of Bhadorgonj Upazila of Shariatpur district in southern Bangladesh. It has been established with a mission to make advancement and eradicate poverty of backward southern districts of Bangladesh.
Higher education in the right institution can create leadership and entrepreneurship, generate ideas and innovation, empower and breed the students with confidence to face all real life challenges. With such a paradigm, the authority of the University envision an community surrounding the University. They also believe that the researches in the University will serve all in the country and the planet.
The University is in a serene and green environment amidst rich nature. Its unique architecture and infrastructural facilities have made it an exception over other private universities with 6 acres of land and nearly 200,000 sft of floor spaces. The students here will devote to study and research activities with full residential accommodation and all other modern learning resources such as library, internet connectivity with computer lab and others etc. ZHSUST is an institution accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

The vision of Z. H. Sikder University of Science & Technology is to become a leading university devoted to bringing knowledge and technology to the service of mankind and an ‘abode of excellence’ in higher education of the country.
Mission
The mission of Z. H. Sikder University of Science & Technology is to develop knowledge and skills of the students so that they can undertake responsibility as young professionals for imparting leadership in their respective fields.
Objectives
Education shapes the human life, enriches the society we live in and adds to the quality of life to the citizens of the nation. Higher education in universities shapes the dream of the students, develops their overall personality and makes them confident to meet the challenges in all walks of life societies, industries and in real life. Therefore, ZHSUST is being developed with objectives to:
■ Promote all-round development of the students’ abilities and
personalities.
■ Develop awareness about the role of science and its application in
understanding and solving problems of the contemporary society.
■ Create, extend and disseminate knowledge and foster its
application.
■ Establish a community of scholars, students, and staff in which
understanding and wisdom can grow and flourish.

To achieve its vision and to fulfill its mission, ZHSUST has the following strategies:

■ It offers relevant academic programs that meet the needs of the
students for a promising career as well as the needs of the country
■ It provides appropriate physical and infrastructural facilities, logistic support and an environment conducive to teaching, learning and research.
■ It provides research activities in the fields of environment information technology and other disciplines.
